Madeliene and Jonathan’s Castle Avalon Wedding was perfect! We are so glad that we got to spend such an awesome day with two super sweet people. Madeliene and Jonathan are so kind. We had such an awesome time with them shooting their engagement session at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio. It was an early morning shoot, they brought their two cute dogs, and they gave us an awesome restaurant recommendation for breakfast. That is just about the perfect engagement session! After that morning with them, we knew that their wedding would be an awesome experience. We also had the chance to spend another day with Madeliene taking bridal portraits. Susan at Castle Avalon was kind enough to let us use the venue for this session…and the pictures were stunning!!!
When we arrived at Castle Avalon, we found Madeliene and the girls getting ready. We were able to get a few pictures of Madeliene’s beautiful dress in the bride’s room before she got in it. The bride’s room at Castle Avalon is such an awesome place for pictures! Once everyone was dressed and ready, Elena led Madeliene to the front of the castle where Jonathan was waiting for her. She walked up behind Jonathan and he turned around to see her for the first time. It was a magical moment! We certainly understand the brides that want their groom to see them for the first time when she is walking down the aisle. But, there is something super special about having a private first look. Madeliene and Jonathan were able to spend a few minutes together, just the two of them, really taking in the moment. These few minutes were the only minutes of the entire day that they had to themselves and it was so cool to stand back and watch them talk and laugh and just be in the moment!
The weather didn’t allow for an outside ceremony. And, that is why you should choose a venue like Castle Avalon that gives you ability to have a beautiful inside ceremony should the need arise. Their ceremony was beautiful. We finished up all of the family pictures in no time at all and then everyone enjoyed an amazing dinner. The toasts were great and the cakes and cookies were super good! The groom even made his own cake! The reception was so much fun and we enjoyed watching the newlyweds celebrate with their friends and family.
Madeliene and Jonathan, thank you for sharing your special day with us. Thank you for being so kind and for making us feel so welcome. Elena and I wish you both many, many years of love and happiness together!
