Claire and Julio’s wedding at The W Hotel in downtown Austin ranks as one of our favorites!  And, from the moment that Claire sat in our home for her consultation, we knew that would be the case.  Claire made it clear that she wanted her wedding to be an upscale, classy event.  Well…upscale and classy are two of our favorite words!  We couldn’t wait to be part of their day.  We were lucky enough to spend an afternoon with Claire and Julio a few months before their wedding for their engagement session.  So, we already knew that they were super nice people.  Elena and I both were excited to spend the day with them on their wedding day.

When we arrived at The W, we had plenty of time for some getting ready pictures as well as some shots of the details of the day.  Claire and Julio decided to do a first look and we’re so glad they did.  Elena and I had never shot at The W Hotel before so we didn’t have any pre-planned locations for pictures.  Plus, it was really windy outside and, with the UT game in town, there were a ton of people out and about.  All of this made for a challenging shooting situation.  But, this is why it is so important to hire a professional photographer for your wedding!  Elena and I found all kinds of cool places around the hotel for pictures.  The lighting was so unique and interesting.  And on top of that, we had a beautiful bride and handsome groom who trusted us completely standing in front of our cameras!  That is a recipe for awesome pictures.  We love Claire and Julio’s pictures so much!

Claire and Julio’s ceremony was beautiful and, in no time at all, we were all inside the reception hall celebrating with the newlyweds.  Tim, with Austin Classic DJ, was on hand to provide the soundtrack for the evening.  Our photo booth was also there to provide constant…and silly…entertainment for friends and family.  At the end of the evening, Claire and Julio left under a shower of sparklers.  It was perfect.
