I can’t imagine how Desiree and Justin’s Terrace Club Wedding could have been any better!  We had such an awesome time with them and are so glad that we got to be part of their big day!  Elena and I already knew how much we loved spending time with Desiree and Justin.  Several months ago we had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with Desiree and Justin taking their engagement pictures.   It was an awesome time and their pictures were beautiful.

When Elena and I arrived at The Terrace Club for Desiree and Justin’s wedding, we found the girls busy getting hair and makeup done.  We love arriving a bit early so we have the opportunity to get a few getting ready pictures.  Before long, Justin arrived and things were moving 100 MPH.  Desiree and Justin decided to do a first look, something that we really recommend in the fall and winter months.  Not only are first looks a great opportunity for the bride and groom to have just a few moments along before all of their friends and family arrive, but it also allows us to really get some great natural light images while the light is still great outside…and the light for Desiree and Justin’s pictures was perfect!!!  We loved Justin’s reaction to seeing Desiree for the first time in her dress.  “Oh my…you are so beautiful!”  The perfect reaction!!!  All of their pictures were so cute.  We loved having plenty of time to play around and get just the right poses and lighting.  Desiree and Justin’s package also included a bridal session, however, schedule conflicts kept us from being able to get together prior to the wedding day for the bridal session.  But, this was no problem at all.  Elena and I spent a bit more time with Desiree taking some really beautiful bridal portraits.  We also had time for lots of family pictures before the formalities began.

Desiree and Justin’s ceremony was beautiful!  After the ceremony, we moved all of their guests over to the hill next to the ceremony site for the group pictures (one of our favorite pictures to do at The Terrace Club).  Because we did so much before the ceremony, we only needed a few minutes for some extended family pictures.  Of course, we weren’t going to miss our opportunity to take some great sunset pictures.  As an Austin wedding photographer, I’ve come to really appreciate the fabulous sunsets that we have in Central Texas.  And, no venue puts those on display better than The Terrace Club.  Desiree and Justin’s sunset pictures were awesome!

Once we finished with all of the pictures, Desiree and Justin were announced into their reception and the party started.  Dinner was tasty.  The toasts were funny.  There were so many desserts to choose from.  And the dance floor was packed.  It was the perfect reception.  And, of course, the perfect reception needs the perfect ending.  Desiree and Justin left their wedding in a vintage Cadillac!  It was so classy and cool…and great for pictures!!!
