We had not met Melanie and Alex prior to their engagement session.  This always makes us a bit nervous.  When people come to our house, we have a chance to get to know them a little and they can get to know us.  We want couples to be 100% comfortable with us as their photographers.  In this case, there was nothing for us to be nervous about.  Melanie and Alex are two of the kindest, friendliest people we have met in a long time.  It was such a joy for Elena and I to spend an afternoon with them.  Melanie and Alex decided to do their engagement shoot at Zilker Botanical Garden, one of our favorite spots in Austin.  There are so many great places for pictures there.  Of course, when you have a couple as cute as Melanie and Alex, almost any location would be great for pictures!

One of the things that we liked the most about Melanie and Alex (from a photography standpoint) was that they knew exactly what they wanted their pictures to look like and they worked hard to do their part for their pictures.  Close, cute, kissy, snugglely, classy…they had it all covered.  Alex showed up in a suit and Melanie had on a cute dress.  It just all made for an awesome, awesome engagement session.  We really love their pictures and loved spending time with them.  We can’t wait for our chance to get to know them a little better when we spent the day with them on their wedding day!
