Hill Country Engagement Session | Tory and Brennen

Hill Country Engagement Session | Tory and Brennen | Austin Wedding Photographer

Every time we do a hill country engagement session and the couple suggests doing the session at a private ranch, our response is immediately and enthusiastically YES!!!  There are so many beautiful places in Central Texas and we trust our couples to find a setting for their engagement session that really fits them.  We hadn’t even gotten to our final destination for Tory and Brennen’s engagement session and we knew we were going to love wherever it was we were going.  The drive to the ranch was breathtaking!  When we arrived, we saw the cutest little house and a massive, beautiful oak covered in moss.  But the drive and the house and the tree weren’t even close to the prettiest things we saw that evening.

This engagement session was a bit different for us because we hadn’t met the bride and groom yet.  As it turns out, Tory and Brennen are a super cute couple…and they are even nicer than they are cute!  Jackpot for an Austin wedding photographer!  Beautiful spot for a photo session.  Super cute couple.  Very, very nice people.  It just doesn’t get any better.  We started with some pictures around the house and then Tory told us that there was a spot that she wanted to drive to take some more pictures.  So, we all loaded in a couple of trucks (there were moms and family friends there, as well, which we love because they were all so much fun and kept us laughing all evening).  The spot that Tory led us to was perhaps the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen in Texas.  It was just amazing!  We were standing on a cliff overlooking the Guadalupe River as it made an S-curve through a cannon hundreds of feet below.  The sun was setting directly behind the hills in front of us.  It was like heaven on Earth.  And once we put Tory and Brennen on the edge (but not too close because Elena was worried they would fall) it was perfect!

We spent some time up on the mountain and then Tory wanted to visit one more spot.  Elena and I were having a great time so we were game for anything.  We all got back in the trucks and drove through some pretty rough country to get down to the river.  The second spot she had chosen was also beautiful!  The only problem was getting back to the house.  There were a few times when we thought we might not be able to make it, but Brennen drove us safely through the rough terrain and back to the house.

Tory and Brennen, we LOVE you pictures and are so excited to be part of your wedding experience.  We also love that we get to spend another evening with Tory for her bridal session.  We’re positive that will produce some amazing images, too!
